What is the Impact Practitioners’ Forum?
In the strategic partnership of Capitals Coalition and VBA, the Capitals Coalition takes responsibility for the standard setting process while VBA engages and coordinates the international business community.
The Impact Practitioners’ Forum (IPF) is the vehicle, the international business platform to support and inform the standardization of Impact methodologies by the Impact Value Standards Board (IVSB) with an informed, coordinated business perspective.
The forum provides a structured space to channel practitioner experience and insights from real-world applications from preparers, users, experts, and assurance providers to the IVSB and engage with the Secretariat ensuring the voice of business is reflected accordingly .
How will we collaborate to create business relevant impact accounting standards?
In February 2026, the Value Balancing Alliance (VBA) will host the first meeting of the Impact Practitioners’ Forum (IPF) — a global platform business experts to align, consolidate, and strengthen the business voice in impact accounting standards for value creation.
By bringing practitioners together in one forum, IPF leverages the experience and insights of business to support and inform the Impact Value Standards Board (IVSB). The IPF aims to make impact accounting standards relevant and feasible for business preparers and users.
