We are excited to announce the release of the final version of the Topic Methodology for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
Developed by the International Foundation for Valuing Impacts (IFVI), now part of Capitals Coalition, in partnership with the Value Balancing Alliance (VBA), the OHS Topic Methodology enables companies to measure and value in monetary terms the impacts of occupational injuries, illnesses, and fatalities on people.
By translating workplace health and safety outcomes into financial terms, the methodology helps organizations better understand the human and economic consequences of their operations across both their own workforce and value chain. Companies and investors can use this methodology to develop impact accounts, strengthen risk management, and inform decision-making related to worker well-being and human capital.
The methodology aligns with and builds on leading sustainability standards, including ESRS and GRI.
